Negative: The location was a bit hard to find as there was no sign board or anything and there was no one to be found once reaching the property, thankfully the staff was well responsive in picking calls and soon helped us out.

Positive: Roy’s Villa in Havelock was an excellent choice for our family stay. The property is well-maintained, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for families. The rooms were clean, spacious, and quiet, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring the island. A special mention to the host, Amitabh, and his mom for their genuinely warm and attentive care. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, were always available when needed, and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. Their hospitality is a big reason this place stands out. The overall experience was smooth and hassle-free, with a calm and welcoming atmosphere throughout. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily return. Highly recommended for families visiting Havelock.

Negative: We had a disappointing experience at this property. While booking, it was clearly mentioned that a kitchen was available, but after arrival, the owner told us there was no kitchen. I even showed them the listing I saw during booking, but they still denied it. The owner was not welcoming and spoke in an unfriendly tone. The location also felt like it was at the back of their house, which was not appealing. When we noticed all these issues, we wanted to cancel the reservation and move to a nearby resort. Since we hadn’t paid anything and the listing on Booking.com said we could cancel anytime, we assumed it wouldn’t be a problem. However, the lady owner showed arrogant behavior and even followed us to the nearby resort, where we were planning to book a better room. She spoke to the receptionist there and acted as if we weren’t allowed to do so, which made us very uncomfortable. Eventually, since it was getting late, we decided to stay. Another misleading thing was the mention of a “private beach” on the booking page, but in reality, the beach was quite far from the property. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations due to the incorrect listing details and unprofessional behavior.
