Positive: Friendly staff, very close to historic Portsmouth. Choice of food a bit limited. They reserved paking for me which was good for my partner. Thinking of staying again in spring 👍

Positive: . The only stand out feature were the staff who were all courteous, efficient, professional but welcoming. The Atrium is a great feature and you should make more of it

Negative: Foam mattresses were too hot and slid on bases (single beds). Room too hot without windows fully open. I arrived at the start of breakfast serving on Saturday morning but the eggs looked like they had been sitting for hours, bacon was very overdone. For the room price it was disappointing. The bar area was very tired looking and not in keeping with the atrium foyer, it generally felt like the whole building and business had seen better days

Positive: On arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Perfect for single occupancy for one night. Hotel facilities are to a high standard. I was attending a private function, 60 or so guests, table service was relaxed and efficient and the servings well proportioned and delicious.

Positive: Communal rooms were good already updated.

Negative: Room needs decorating, bowl cracked in bathroom, shower plastic curtain. Carpet stains , needs cleaning Hotel needs updating, currently doing it piece meal, lifts require updating.
