Summary: Disappointing and not worth the £260 we paid for 2 nights. The downstairs of the hotel is nice and well looked after and in a great location. The staff are friendly. The upstairs, however, is very different. We stayed in room 263, the carpet was very dirty, the bathroom cabinet is very old and has rusty keys hanging from it. I didnt want to use it. The bed is big and comfortable. Next morning we went for breakfast, it wasnt great, premier Inn or Travelodge are better with more choice. We came back to the room after being out all day to find that the cleaner had been in, all she had done was empty the bin and rinsed our used cups in the sink, they weren't clean. She had not replaced the milk we had used, the shower gel, given us a new toilet roll and there was no evidence of any cleaning being done. To top it all off she had left our room unlocked! On our last morning I had a shower, which after a few minutes it ran cold and didnt warm up again, i had to rinse myself in cold water. My husband couldn't have a shower. I did speak to the receptionist when we were checking out and she did apologise but unsure if the feedback will be passed in. Would not stay there again.

Summary: The staff here are amazingly helpful and friendly, a real step back to old fashioned values. Arriving on E-bikes we asked about storing them overnight, the guy on reception took us round to the garage where he started shifting things around so we could get our bikes in, even though it meant he got covered in dust and cobwebs. Our room was large with a large bed, everything was perfectly clean. There were a few strong doors to go through to get to the room with motion sensor lights to help in the dark corridors. We drank/ate in the bar, I didn't want much as we'd had a 3 hour lunch stop. The staff sorted me out with a lovely cheese & ham doorstep sandwich. The restaurant opened at 6.30pm and dead on 6.30 my sandwich arrived. Would have loved to have been more hungry and eaten in the restaurant, maybe next time. This hotel had a great reputation for music in the 60's and 70's, so I was very pleased to see they still have occasional music nights that harp back to those days. We very much enjoyed our stay here, an iconic Norfolk hotel that we're so pleased we finally got to visit.

Summary: We stayed here last minute for our anniversary. Room was beautiful with a four poster bed. We ate in the restaurant that evening. Plenty of choice and food was amazing. Breakfast next morning was lovely as well. We loved our stay here!

Summary: Unfortunately the carpet in the bedroom was very badly stained, shower wasn't very good water splashed everywhere, curtains let to much light in woke early hour's. The bed was extremely comfortable, nice soft bedding. Ate in the restaurant twice, meals were excellent, food very tasty and plentiful, service was very good.

Summary: Room was clean and refreshed, bathroom needed a bit of TLC. My room was quiet and the bed comfortable. The curtains weren't black out so the light did come in early in the morning. Breakfast was ok - I only had cereals and toast so couldn't comment on the cooked options.
