Positive: For NYC standards, spacious room, great minibar / snack assortments and very comfortable bed.

Negative: Very rude welcome by receptionist working evening shift. She was frazzled and compensated her lack of competence by being haughty. Asked me to call the owner of the credit card without considering it was 3am back home. Needed her manager for every step, was extremely slow and gave me non-working room keys. Because of the live music and the construction of the hotel around the atrium, it’s extremely loud in the rooms and you need to use the built in silent noise speaker which is just weird. It’s also extremely dark in the rooms and makes you feel claustrophobic.

Positive: Very spacious room by NYC standards, tastefully decorated in a distinctive style. Great location, steps away from the ACE subway station (which you can take all the way to JFK Airtrain), and within a 30 min walk to most of the downtown neighborhoods. There are plenty of great places to eat in the area, from fancy restaurants to popular breakfast joints. Fun hotel lobby with live music and bar open till late at night. We didn't find the noise to be disturbing, but we were on the top floor. Staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Zilliah when we checked in. We stayed on a rather quiet week I guess, because we got a great rate. For us the room room was a really good value.

Negative: Room could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly. Pillows were a bit too soft for our taste, but otherwise the bed was very comfy.

Positive: It’s a nice location, there is easy subway access nearby. Very cute restaurant on the first floor.

Negative: I visited NYC to go to the Cowboy Carter show. I stood in line for hours to get exclusive merch that is only available at the stadium. Paid for cabs to and from the venue for this. Wore my shirt to bed twice because I was too afraid to spill on my $90 (plus tax) shirt. On May 26th I came back to our room cleaned by room service, the white sheets had been changed and my XL oversized long sleeve yellow shirt was taken with it. I reported it immediately to the desk. Everyone was very nice while I was there and freaking out. They didn’t find it before I left. I have called twice since being home. Both times I was told they would follow up with me and no one has ever called me. The second time I was greeted with frustration that I even called. To say I am upset would be an understatement. Not once did someone suggest to reimburse me for this, to say they would be doing anything really. So disappointed.
