Positive: An incredible location with stunning views. The self-catering apartment was very comfortable and ideal for a few days. Everything had been thought of. The information packs were brilliant for both local walks and car trips. Owner was very friendly and kindly accommodated us arriving very early. Highly recommend.

Negative: Peace and tranquility does come at a price, so be prepared that a car journey is necessary for eating out. Nearest cafe was excellent for breakfast, lunches and cake.

Positive: The room, the location, and the host (Anna) were all brilliant. We had a really fab couple of days. Everything was spotlessly clean, the location was amazing and Anna was just lovely (as was her cute dog!)

Negative: There is (I'm sure it's necessary) a permanently on emergency green light over the stairs in the bedroom area. Do take an eye mask if this would bother you.

Positive: Great place. Host Anna was very welcoming . Rowan House was spotless room & bathroom. Comfy bed in an above average large room, plus the Loch view was breathtaking. Great facilities.. very tastey breakfast with good choice selection. Great to have an outdoor space with sun lounger chairs available on loch beach. Would definitely stay here again. All this at a great price .

Negative: Road to Carrick abit narrow in places. However, passing places at very regular intervals.

All you can hear is the the birds chirping in the background. The garden across the B&B is very peaceful where you can relax after a day of gallivanting out and about Lochgoilhead.
