Positive: An idyllic cottage setting with views over Coniston Old Man and fells surrounding. Gorgeous village and church fab for those summer evening walks. Loved the space of the cottage and it had a nice feel about it. The garden was great for the views and just to sit and enjoy.

Negative: The shower was always freezing cold 🥶 couldn’t get to grasp with nest settings so we just had to howl when it got too cold. Lounge sofas are back crunchers but look lovely.

Positive: The house was clean and inviting. Everything had been thought through and we had everything we needed. The views were stunning and sitting in the garden watching the sunset was a treat. It was a great location for us to explore Conniston and Windermere. The local pub was friendly and accommodating. We really cannot find fault with our stay.

Positive: location, cute character cottage and log burners. well equipped kitchen

Negative: cold, leather effect sofas cold, back bedroom was especially cold. general cleanliness wasn’t great and shower needed a scrub

Positive: Comfortable beds. Well-equipped kitchen. Lovely to have sunroom and garden. Quiet location. Useful to have books and maps of area provided.

Negative: Information on heating hot water and towel rail was unclear. Lots of kitchen knives, but they were blunt. Pub near but always fully booked for dinner, which nearly caught us out as there are no shops nearby.

Summary: Lovely relaxing stay, good base to visit southern lakes and Furness Abbey.
