Built in the early 1900’s the “Rock House'' as it was originally named is a piece of the original ranch that included 158 acres and several structures. Those who enjoy history will appreciate this renovated ranch home that was once known for raising Jack Stock Mules that assisted in the Revolutionary War. Keeping with history, the current owners, love of horses, donkeys, and history is recognized in naming the property Rock N Horse Ranch. Inside, this updated ranch house guests will appreciate the reclaiming of sections of the original homestead as well as recent renovations and updates. Guests will find the Rock N Horse Ranch offers a perfect mix of old and new, will accommodate up to 8 guests, and offers endless hours of enjoyment.
Upon entering the Rock N Horse Ranch guests will admire the use of different textures: metal, wood, tile as well as fun pops of color throughout the ranch house giving a warm and inviting feel. The living space hosts rich leather furniture and an impressive wood burning fireplace with an eye-catching rustic bar area that opens to the family room. This space is perfect for entertaining or watching a favorite sporting event on the large screen television. Located just off the family room, guests will find a large galley kitchen with rock walls (part of the original homestead) as well as colorful green cabinetry. Guests will find this kitchen is fully equipped for preparing family favorites and offers ample appliances to cook most meals. Gather for meals at the large family style dining table or ‘A la cart overlooking the beautiful landscape.
The Rock N Horse Ranch will sleep up to 8 guests and hosts four roomy bedrooms. There is plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably in this ranch house. Each bedroom offers a cozy country feel with distinct linens and specific pieces chosen for each space. The master, located upstairs is perfect for the romantics. This roomy bedroom hosts a canopy queen bed with accents of soft tulle, luxurious linens, and beautiful hill country views. Guests will find this room is the perfect private escape. A second bedroom offers a queen four poster bed and fun pops of color. The third room offers a full bed with comfortable linens and unique pieces. The fourth bedroom perfect for kids offers a twin/over full bunk bed with fun star accents and cool barn doors. Kids will love this space that is dedicated to fun and play: including a dart board, poker table, and over a dozen board games. Additional sleeping is located on the sleeper sofa located in the family room. Tidy up in one of the two roomy bathrooms for a night on the town. Choose a shower or enjoy a relaxing bubble bath in the clawfoot tub. A second bathroom located just off the family room offers beautiful tile work, a shower/tub combo, and plenty of counter space to freshen up. For those that need to check in with the office there is a study as well as several workstations.
With so much fun to be had on the ranch, guests will embrace the outdoors at the Rock N Horse Ranch. Begin the morning with a cup of coffee on the front porch swing while enjoying the picturesque views or back porch cool off in the above ground pool, or relax on the deck area surrounding the pool.
