Positive: There was a food truck in the parking lot that had great breakfast stuff. Nice folks. Also pretty comfortable bed. Everything was very clean. Really pretty setting. Lots of fly fishermen around.

Negative: I would have given an even better score, but we had an unfortunate situation. It wasn't the fault of the resort, but may could have been handled better. There was a bad windstorm the evening that we got there and the electricity went out due to trees falling on the electric lines. Because this is a rural place, the electricity being out meant that there was also no water because the water depends on a pump! So we were in the dark with also no water to flush the toilet or anything else! Luckily the weather was mild so we didn't need either heat or air conditioning. We used our own flashlights and tucked in for the night. We had bottled water for drinking so we were okay. We left in the morning and still didn't have either running water or electricity! It would have been better if someone had been around in the office/store so that we could have maybe gotten some answers about what to expect. We left about 10 in the morning and still didn't see anyone.

Summary: Beautiful spot, could use staff that would be available.

Positive: Everything was wonderful! John is extremally responsive and so kind! That rooms are big, cozy and wonderful and the location is amazing. So beautiful and very close to my family in Clinton.

Summary: I stay here every year and will continue to so do for years (I hope!)

Positive: Liked the very large room ..... this was a great stop in a most unlikely location....very clean, large fridge...extremely comfortable. We arrived late and manager had left key to our unit taped on door, so we didn't see staff till the next morning....they were very friendly and welcoming.

Negative: Units are a bit tired on the exterior...steps and decking were uneven, but the lovely interior made up for that.

Summary: A surprisingly pleasant unit in a remote location.....you can book here with confidence.

Positive: Our needs for a motel are fairly simple. We don't require anything fancy and prefer surroundings that are wide open space. This is a pretty cool place! It is a few duplex style buildings with two rooms a piece. It is in a very quiet area, with apparently some of the best fishing around. Most of the other guests were there to fish the nearby streams. The room was comfortable and clean. There were a few "lived in" aspects, but nothing to worry about. They are pet friendly and extremely laid back. The Mercantile next door to the rooms is a pretty neat place, also. It is a simple, rural type stay. If you require a lot of stores and places to go, this is not the place for you. If you like the quiet solitude of nature, this is a great place.

Negative: Some of the decking in front of the room was a bit sketchy. There was a light rain during our stay and the steps were very slick. My husband slipped and took a mild fall, no injuries, no worries.

Summary: Clean, Quiet and Peaceful. A Great Stay!
