2 Bedroom Cabin in Nantahala

Our cozy cabin is located in the Mystic River gated community along the banks of the world renowned Nantahala River with the Nantahala National Forest along the facing bank. The cabin was built in the early 1970 prior to the current 25 foot building setback requirement, part of the cabin is literally over the bank of the river. Because its river bank location is grandfathered in we are very limited in our ability to alter or remodel. The unique location of this cabin is part of its charm. If you are looking for a luxurious newly built cabin, our property is probably not for you. The cabin is very basic but has everything that you will need If you are looking for the most unique location in one of the most beautiful river settings you will ever find and are willing to accept clean but minimal accomodations, then you will enjoy our property. A private get away from the busy world.
Fish from the deck if you choose or watch the whitewater rafters float by just a few feet away, wishing they had your view. We have 2 miles of private river frontage plus 2 islands for your fishing and hiking enjoyment. You also have access to miles of private hiking trails, fish pond, and pond side pavilion in our nearby sister community.
If that is not enough excitement, how about a white water raft ride down the Nantahala River stopping off at your own private cabin for a half way break or just relax on the covered porch and watch the river pass by.
Whatever your idea of a vacation in the Smokey Mountains includes, our riverfront cabin is the perfect lodging solution.

Summary: The cabin was exactly as listed! If you're looking for luxury, don't book here! Think of it as a "glamping" experience. Everything you need to enjoy nights by the fire, grilling dinner, trout fishing, hiking, whitewater rafting or kayaking, and just enjoying family and friends with a warm or cool place with a comfortable place to sleep at night. And the location!!! Absolutely amazing. Plenty of space for three adults and two teenagers right on the Nantahala River! We will be back!

Summary: Great location, right on the river. Accommodations are simple, but adequate. Wifi was a bit tricky but did work better outdoors. Amazingly peaceful, pristine environment and very private. We enjoyed our stay and caught a few fish! We enjoyed being disconnected from everyone for a few days.

Summary: This is our 3rd stay here and will return. My husband and I are very happy with this house and location. It is not a property for everyone. The beds are comfortable and the cabin in clean and depicted accurately in photos. It has satellite tv, but cell reception is minimal and wifi is sketchy in the cabin. You can walk to lodge for more reliable wifi. However, Im on vacation for relaxing and this is a place that is perfect for such. Again, not for everyone whom might prefer more amenities, but I will definitely book again, it is perfect for me. I will add that I have met and seen property management each of my stays, they do a great job of communication and list the rental accurately.

Summary: Me and my husband stayed here for a weekend getaway we were only two hours away from home. This cabin is right on the river, has a grill,Picnic table with umbrella a back porch to set out at and look at the river and the passing rafters. Trudy gave us detailed instructions and had no problems getting there as gps didn’t work like she said The internet didn’t work well and we was warned before hand but that did not bother me because I got to be away from the hustle and bustle of life and social media. I always wanted and wished to stay right on the nanahala river and my wish came true. We will defiantly be staying here again and I just hope it will be available for us next year. THANK YOU for letting us stay at such a lovely place
