Positive: The apartment was very spacious and comfortable and the beds were comfy. Nicely decorated. It was in a great location opposite the marina and everything is close by. The bus stop out the front is convenient although we never used it. It is very close to the train station (flat walk) and the bus station is just out the back door. There is a lift to get your heavy suitcases up to your apartment (which was a great bonus). I would recommend this apartment but the managing agent needs to ensure that the appropriate items are provided when people arrive.

Negative: I don't like to quote negative comments but it is the small things when you are travelling that make a difference. We only received one roll of toilet paper on arrival and with four females staying four nights it was not nearly enough. We asked for extra and were given only 'one' roll. We were travelling from Australia and did not expect to have to purchase toilet paper, we are not accustomed to using bidets and I advised this when asking for extra. There were no extra garbage bags to put in the bins in the kitchen or the bathroom. There was no soap in the bathroom to wash your hands, there was no washing up liquid or tea towels for washing and drying dishes. Although they were supplied when asked for. Along with a brand new clothes airer as the one at the property was in pieces (someone should have noticed this). There were no basic condiments, such as salt and pepper, oil, etc which would have been nice but understand that some people may take these and not leave them for the next guests. Not sure whose responsibility it is but the cleaning staff should be ensuring these things are supplied and broken things reported and replaced.

Summary: Great location and spacious apartment. Don't expect any amenities or the quoted toiletries.

Positive: The apartment is well located, next to the marina.

Negative: The check in process is nonsense. you are supposed to wait until 16:00 for checking in... queuing in the street along many other people, so be patient. However, once it's your turn, as many other reviewers from their properties have stated, they'll keep you waiting longer, in our case until 18:30 to get into the apartment because the cleaning wasn't done yet. But hey, the checkout must be at 10:00. Don't expect any personalized indication from the staff regarding the facilities, parking etc. Talking about parking, the entry states there's free public parking next to the property. If by next to the property they mean a 5/10 minute walk, then it's true. But you'll have to find the appropriate areas by yourself, right next to the apartment it's hotel reserved spots and hourly paid street parking. The apartment itself is in an old building and fortunately was kind of clean. However if you expect a nice relaxed stay, forget about it. The windows are paper thin (a general restoration of the apartment is clearly needed) and noise from the street will accompany you 24/7. And do expect NOISE: buses that stop right by your window, motorbikes and cars revving like crazy, day and night. The shower hanger was broken and the toilet seat had blood-like stains that couldn't be cleaned. I guess they can't invest a few euros to change these two things. By the way, you'll immediately have to buy basic stuff we always found in other apartments: a scrubber, washing up liquid, etc. Finally to top it all off, we had the visit of some cockroaches. We definitely made a mistake booking this apartment, old, extremely overpriced, noisy and without any consideration for the guests. They just think of milking as much money from Algarve tourists as possible. I'd advise anyone thinking about renting from them do some research about the agency Dream Algarve.
