After a day of swimming, fishing, kayaking, rowing, biking, hiking or exploring, you can return to the house to relax for a BBQ, roast marshmallows or just enjoy the river view only 30 feet from the deck. The large living room and fully equipped kitchen have large windows to enable you to cook indoors or outdoors while taking in the beautiful view including the flowing river. With 1 bedroom and a full bath downstairs, it is easy to get a restful night sleep. The two additional bedrooms and a full bath located upstairs provide an abundance of sleeping space for everyone and a great view of the redwoods that surround the property. Its best features are the surrounding redwood trees, close proximity to the river and its very own waterfall.

Summary: The house was the perfect size for our family of 6 and could have easily accommodated more people. The room upstairs was great for the kids. The river and the view was gorgeous. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working during our stay.The location was great, we easily made the drive to Crescent City daily and also to many hikes in the Redwoods.

Summary: This house was the perfect space for my family of 7. Large kitchen, family room, and dining area. We've rented several vacation homes and this was the most well stocked with kitchen supplies, towels, bedding, games, toiletries, etc. Our family enjoyed the outside space when it didn't rain. We used the hot tub once, enjoyed the river access and views, and the BBQ. This was a great location on a quiet street and wasn't too far from town when we needed to get gas and groceries. It was also near Kellogg beach which was nice. The only hiccup we had was a slight delay in the key code being activated for our entrance to the home. I texted the owner but ended up just calling him after waiting a little bit for a response. I will also add that the home was tidy but could use a good deep clean. There were noticeable cobwebs which might be hard for someone with allergies. It was a lovely place to stay and would be great to experience in the summertime with that beautiful river. I would bring my family here again and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Summary: Fantastic views of the Smith River from the hot tub and dining room and which was just a staircase away! Liked having an EV charger and a clean house with a kitchen that had plenty of utensils, plates and cookware (we would have loved a kettle!). Please fix the fishing rod situation as only 1 was in working order out of the 6. It was also extremely cold in the house when we arrived and the water had not been turned on.
