Positive: What a beautiful, tranquil place. Family friendly with a well kept lawn in front of the spacious porch. Can't recommend it enough. Do keep in mind, it is in the middle of nowhere, 700 meters from the nearest local road.

Negative: The cot that was confirmed for our booking was not provided. We didn't need it anymore so didn't mention it, they may have been able to provide one upon request. Our room came with popup mosquito nets, a bit of a hassle. Would rather see ceiling hung nets.

Positive: House has a big covered terrace which is great to chill while watching and listening to the river. Nature is all around. If you have time and a bit of luck you can spot eagle, peacock, monkeys ... it is nice to get lost among those coconut trees, plus staff is really nice and welcoming.

Negative: Road from main street to the house (cca 700m) is in bad shape. And I would prefer if dogs would not sleep on those padded chairs in front of the rooms.

Positive: We booked at last minute and needed a place to stay with 2 hours of the airport. Rivendell were able to give us a simple meal that evening and stuffed milk rice for breakfast which I loved. They arranged a taxi to the airport at a good price. Lovely veranda to sit in.

Negative: Nothing. Just note- a little tricky to find.

Positive: Beautiful accommodation in the “middle of nowhere “. The staff were very nice, you have access to books, pool and a nice garden. Perfect to rest and relax. I also had the massage they offer, which was also good. You can order breakfast, lunch, diner and snacks so you don’t need to leave the property. The rooms are nicely decorated, comfortable bed and big bathroom.

Negative: An extra electricity point in the room, I was alone so it was fine but if they could add a splitter so you can charge two phones at the same time, that would be ideal.

Positive: A special place in the countryside. The staff are welcoming & helpful, a beautiful pool and lovely gardens. A retreat from a busy life. Dinner & breakfast we’re surprisingly delicious as we only booked a couple of hours before arrival.

Negative: We found it a bit difficult to locate but we did & it was worth getting lost👍
