Positive: The place was lovely, nice little pub, nice job on the breakfast. Location was great for exploring Dartmoor. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful.

Negative: Bed was a bit soft for us, but that is a personal preference.

Positive: Loved the place. Local pub with a band playing in the Friday night we stayed. Dream come true for a couple of older music lovers. Decent pub food in the evening and a great full breakfast in the morning.

Negative: Nothings

Summary: Would certainly stay again. We were warned in advance of the band but for us it was a bonus.

Positive: it was a spectacular place to be. The room was cosy and warm. Food was good. Staff were polite and kind, always ready to help. The food was good as well. The locals were very lovely and approachable and helpful. It was a good holiday for my husband and I.

Negative: There was no parking for those staying at the bed and breakfast but there was a public parking not too far and the rates were reasonable.

Positive: The breakfast was excellent, although we didn't have the full cooked one. The pub is situated right in the middle of Chagford, ideal for us. Parking was either on the road or in the long stay carpark round the corner.

Negative: The room was relatively small with limited space to put anything, other than that it was all very comfortable and agreeable. There was a small sitting area outside the room which I used instead of sitting on the bed to read my book.

Positive: I booked it last minute after my circumstances changed. They were so helpful and kind. They even made me a packed breakfast because I had to leave before they started serving breakfast.

Positive: Lovely breakfast, very friendly staff, great location, clean, comfy room with everything we needed. The dinner was good value and very tasty.

Negative: The bar area where the food is served can become very noisy in the evening and it's hard to have a conversation. It would suit some people, but not if you want a quiet chat or an early night!

Summary: Good value , friendly stopover in a beautiful village.
