Positive: First things first: great beds, fantastic shower and spotless clean. It’s in a residential, quiet part of the medina and about 5 minutes away from the hustle and bustle. But the great ammentities aren’t what make this place wonderful. The grace, intelligence and sheer warmth of the owner Zohra is unmatched. With true perseverance she took on the task of feeding our son whom is scared of eating in front of strangers and whose stubbornness is unmatched. But Zohra persevered and didn’t give up. She helped us wherever she could and jumped in whenever she could unburden us in dealing with our acclimatising kids. What a treat. In Zohra you will find the Moroccan auntie we all need (and deserve!). Cannot wait to come back! Thank you Zohra and love from our family.

Positive: Once you've u get to know your way around the area it is well situated for access to all the local areas

Negative: We didn't realise that there were cats in the property. The cleaning ladies do a great job. But I am allergic, so wouldn't have booked if I had known. I was shown photos of amazing platters of food and the owner offered to cook for us one night. The food was a disappointment, there were no platters of food, I literally had a small bowl of soup as starter, a piece of pastry with cheese inside for main course and a few slices of orange for dessert. We felt very overcharged at €25 per person. The owner knew I was a vegetarian. The meat eaters had a meat pastry, the cheese pastry and they had a chicken tagine. After showing me these amazing photos of these rich and luscious vegetables and salads, it was very unfair. There are amazing places to eat near the accommodation and they worked out at less than a quarter of the price (& better quality) than the food given to us that night. The accommodation itself is a riad, no external windows, all windows open into the central court. So if you have a noisy group also staying (we stayed for five nights and there was a travel group in for two nights) it can become a very disturbed night's sleep. The owner is lovely, but I wouldn't take the breakfast or dinner. We had breakfast once and it was the worst breakfast of the five days we were there with an egg and very stale bread, the pastries that were literally left over from a family with kids had left, no juice (the family had it all) and a small pot of mint tea, no fruit. Nothing else offered so we left the table. As a base this is a perfectly lovely place, hence giving a 9. The food is a different thing but wanted to give people a heads up. Our room only had one bedside lamp and where it was plugged in was the only working socket in the room, so if charging a phone you couldn't have any light. The other switches had tape over them.

Negative: Unfortunately, there is very little window, but this how the Riad are meant to be.

Summary: Everything was great and easy and we would go back for sure. The owner is a wonderful woman!

Positive: The hosts were kind and genuine. We loved that it was a family-run place and we appreciated the host family's sincerity and kindness.

Negative: Unfortunately, this place did not meet our expectations. We stayed in many places throughout the country and were disappointed with this one. The value for what we paid did not match - the breakfast was not generous, the coffee was very watered down (we bought our own instant coffee to add to it to make it taste like coffee). They didn't offer any housekeeping during our 4 night stay and it was impossible to dry our towels so they stayed damp and smelly. As much as we wanted it to be amazing, it just was not the stay we had hoped for.

Positive: The riad is nice decorated, freshly painted. The beds were comfortable, the bedding was clean. The location is very good, in the Medina. The breakfast were tradicional Marocco - freshly sqeezed juices, pancake and egg. Tea, coffee. They serve each guests, it is not self-service.

Negative: During our stay (middle of February) the weather was quite cold - about +10+12 in the morning and evening. The riad doesn't have any heating. In the room there is no air conidtioner or heater, so in the room was cold and we felt humidity. In the bathroom also there is no heating, so it was very cold to go to the shower and the towels all the time were damp. We had two rooms on the ground floor. The entrance door of one room is with frosted widows, so during night it is very light inside and when someone switch up the main light in the riad, you feel like sleeping with the switched on light in the room. If you want to sleep, you have to wait while all residents and owners will go to sleep, because there is no sound proof in the room and you can here every step and every word of residents. But if you are not sensitive to the sounds, you will have good sleep.

Positive: The Riad is beautiful, especially with the lantern roof that brings in all the natural light, location is great as in the heart of the Medina, spacious rooms throughout with nice bathrooms. The Host and her family were amazing, they treated us like family, they even walked us through the local area on our first day to help us get familiar with the City. We were even welcomed with a beautiful traditional lunch on arrival, the couscous and lamb dish which is a special dish for Fridays. Breakfast was great, they would cook us anything we fancied to eat. I'd happily stay at this Beautiful Riad again, I have no complaints!
