Positive: The Riad is very elegantly decorated and the rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is so extremely nice, I celebrated my birthday here and they took such good care of me including birthday surprises. The food is very delicious. The location is perfect to explore Essaouria.

Positive: We really can’t fault this beautiful riad. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff are exceptional and took great care of us throughout our stay. From complimentary coffee and water in the spotlessly clean room, to the fresh breakfast (the best we’ve ever had in any hotel). It was a tranquil haven in a buzzing medina. We have no doubt we will be back!

Positive: Unlike most travellers who are making stops for a couple of nights, we stayed over a week. In other words, there was plenty of time for a mishap. There simply never was one. We were so comfortable and the family who run it were simply delightful. Nothing was too much trouble. Located just inside the Medina it is perfectly located for heading in or out of it.

Negative: Nothing, it was outstanding.

Summary: This was a wonderful and memorable experience for my family. The perfect retreat in Essaouira.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Riad Chbanate. From the time we arrived till the time we left it was just amazing. We met lots of great shop owners and craftsman nearby and the riad was easy access to everything that we wanted to do on vacation. The breakfast was plentiful and the smell of cedar everywhere makes me heart happy. They built a fire for us each evening in the room and staff couldn't be any friendlier. We will definitely be back to Essaouira as we have fell in love with Morocco.

Positive: the location was excellent, only a short walk from a gate and not far from the main thoroughfare and from the harbour. The breakfast was fresh, plentiful and more than we could eat. There was a cooked egg option every day. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was stylish and comfortable.

Negative: There was nothing that we really didn't like.

Summary: Excellent, but 4 days in that location was probably enough.

Positive: Well positioned, a short walk from the gate where the taxis drop off. A short walk to the central high st market & many restaurants. The staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful & couldn’t do enough for us.

Negative: We were from choice on the top floor, it’s 63 steps! The first or second floor would be fine. I’m far from fit , so the stairs did me good!
