Positive: Riad Idar has lots of personal touches, having been created by the owner, Abdel. He's a lovely host, and gave us very good breakfasts and dinners. He was also a great guide on our trek up to remote hilltop villages. The views from the riad's roof terrace are spectacular.
Negative: Everything met our expectations.
Summary: Riad Idar suited us perfectly for our 2 night stay in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.

Positive: excellent base for exploration in the foothills of Mt. Toubkal. Some local infrastructure still available in the vicinity out of season (December). Stunning and unspoilt nature.
Negative: above 1000m altitude with no heating, pretty cold in winter - must be nice+ cool in other seasons.

Positive: The hosts made us feel very welcome. The open fire kept us warm and we were well fed, and our bikes were stored safely overnight.
Negative: A little surprised to have a family member access a locked room within the apartment without notice late in the evening.

Positive: The Riad is very comfortable and the owner does so much to help if he can. We were looked after wonderfully. The rooms were cool even in 35 degree heat and the Riad is slightly off the main road so it's very peaceful.
Negative: The single beds are very firm.
