Positive: It was everything we wished for (snow, real Christmas tree and a wood burner fireplace) and more. Tom & Sarah are wonderful hosts. The accommodation itself is much bigger inside. There was a teapot! Most accommodations we stayed in the UK or Europe, never had a teapot. It is ideal for chillaxing or doing plenty of walks and if you are really fit, mountain biking. We would highly recommend the farm trail at least once. It is very hard to gain a good reputation and much harder to keep it. Thank you both.

Positive: The cottage was really clean and lovely inside, it had everything you could need (even a small amount of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk to welcome you). Log fire worked well and makes you look forward to coming back to the cottage after a day exploring. The hosts were really friendly and the farm the cottage sits on is very beautiful. There is also an electric charge point on site which was very useful and cheaper to use then public fast charge points. Location wise it's a good base to use your car to explore north wales, and a very short drive away from the very beautiful Betws-y-Coed. Would recommend!
Negative: I think the cottage was build in the 1800's? I'm quite tall (6'4) so had to do the limbo a lot to get through the doorframes. Not a criticism though, part of the charm of the place and to be expected with historic buildings!
Summary: Beautiful, charming, clean with everything that you could need. A great base for exploring Wales

Positive: Lovely little cottage on a family farm, had everything you needed. Liked the upside down layout of the bedroom downstairs made it really quirky. Briefly seen Tom and Mary to say hello to but apart from that your left to it but they are happy to help if you need anything. Also had a visitor one morning from a lovely friendly dog. Overall our weekend was brilliant and we will be returning in the future.

Positive: The accommodation was perfect for the two of us and our two small dogs. We loved the ‘upside-down’ nature of the property and the Jack-and-Jill bathroom set-up. Lovely waking up to the sound of birds and sheep.
Negative: The seating in the living area was a little small but to be fair it suited the size of the room. Also, we were so worn out after a day out walking we didn’t really spend much time sitting there.

Positive: Location was great. Really enjoyed staying on a working farm, especially springtime with all the lambs and calves. There is a farm trail walk too, which is also lovely and useful for a dog walk on the doorstep. You also get access to a local hotel spa and swimming pool! Something we didn't realise until we arrived and we made use of it, it was a great perk! Everything was clean, tidy, everything we needed. A great space!
Negative: A couple of friendly suggestions after staying at Rhydlanfair Cottage; more coat hooks, found 2 in the utility cupboard, but some by the main door would be useful. The shower screen needs fixing - it's a shower over a bath with a sloped ceiling, if we were any taller/wider we'd struggle getting in/turning on the water to warm up before getting in without being able to swing open the shower screen. There was no interaction with our hosts. Key was in the door as we arrived, and we left it like that as we left. Some might see that as a positive and prefer that!
Summary: An amazing stay! Highly recommend!
