Positive: Wow is all I can say! Firstly a massive thank you to Zak who was the most wonderful host, always there to answer any questions prior to travel and recommendations whilst there. The House is situated right in the edge of the Old Town and so easily accessible to all areas of beautiful Rethymno. The house has absolutely everything you need (including professional hair dryers in each of the 3 bathrooms). The roof terrace was just fabulous and we spent each day here and there is sun from early morning to sundown. For us we preferred the Old Town and all it's beautiful windy streets with traditional Greek Restaurants and a warm welcome was always at hand. Some Restaurants I would highly recommend are: Veneto, Kamara and La Boheme (all in the Old Town). Right on your doorstep is HERMES Coffee shop who do the best pastries, coffee and fresh rolls. Will most definitely be booking again for next year. Again, thank you so much Zak.

Positive: The host, Zak was amazing, we arrived from airport tired with 2 young kids and found the house with full of fresh fruits, water, juices that Zak prepared for us. When he learned we would like to have a toilet seat for kids, he just immediately went and bought one for us, we really appreciate it. He was very nice and friendly with kids as well, my boys were asking every day if Zak is going to visit us :) House was very clean, modern, in a very good location close to the beach, restaurants, shops.

Positive: The property is a lovingly restored and beautifully appointed building in an excellent location, being both on the threshold of the pedestrian area of the old port and within easy walking distance of the beach. There are several supermarkets nearby the property and, all in all, I couldn't have hoped for a better location. An extra nice touch for us was the fact that the residence was cleaned for us during our stay, so we had all the independence of "our own place' but with that serviced experience of a hotel. In addition to the excellence of the property and its location, what made our stay truly exceptional was the warmth and kind-heartedness of our hosts, Zak and George. They afforded us true Cretan hospitality and made us feel like guests in their home rather than customers who were simply passing through. All in all, a great place to stay.

Positive: The location and rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi, along with the cool modern design were excellent.

Negative: Maybe some more hooks to hang up towels in the en-suite bathrooms or bedrooms would have been useful but it did not impact negatively at all.
