Summary: Lovely home with friendly hosts! GIovanni and Brunella could not have been more generous with their time and expertise! Shared the best strawberries ever with us! THe house is so well built and situated on a quiet street with an unbelievable view of the countryside from the 2nd bedroom! Would highly recommend!

Summary: Owners write up is deceiving. This property consists of one bedroom with half a bathroom (no bath or shower) , one sofa bed in the lounge, a very small TV, a kitchen with basic equipment, a small patio off the kitchen that opens up to the owners backyard, a roomy bathroom with shower that also includes a washing machine. The 5th person sleeps in the kitchen on a fold out bed. Very poor internet connection. Owner was friendly and coffee was good! Expensive for what you get.

Summary: Govone is a very pleasant, quiet little town from where you can easily tour the region with a car. It’s an easy drive to Turin. There is a supermarket within a 3 minute walk and restaurants and coffee shops a short walk away. The owners are very kind and helpful and the property is clean and tasteful. It is on three floors with kitchen in the basement (with a little patio) and quite steep stairs so probably not great if you have very small children. If Wi-fi is important to you, it is not reliable here. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Summary: You will find no Ikea furniture here. Instead, you will find a spotless and well-maintained three-level townhouse that looks ancient from the street but contains all the creature comforts you could ask for, including a full kitchen, top-quality linens and a comfortable bed. More importantly, outside the door you will find a classic medieval-era hill town, with a castle on top, a Catholic church that remains a center of town life and several restaurants. It is a lovely spot to walk around and, on days when there is no fog, must offer a spectacular view. The house can be tough to find and parking can be tougher. Giovanni resolved those issues by meeting me at the church, identifying a parking spot, and walking me to the house, where he made sure I knew what I needed to know. Benissimo.
