Summary: The house was perfect for us as a family group was in town to handled the affairs of a deceased relative. It provided a well-equipped place to relax and discuss things after several trying days. And Anna provided us with strawberry shortcake! We would rent again.

Summary: We travel quite often and prefer staying in vacation rentals over hotels. This trip was to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from ETSU. I cannot say enough good things about the house and the hospitable host. It is obvious she cares about her guests with all the thoughtful details and extras. It has been updated and the decor is a perfect mix of antiques and modern features. You won’t have to worry about bringing much of anything other than your clothes. You will find everything you possibly need for cooking in the well stocked kitchen. It has a standard coffee maker, Keurig, crockpot, and all the cookware and utensils you can think of. There are even standard condiments, sugar, salt and pepper, lots of spices, etc. Toiletries are also provided. The house was very clean and the beds were the most comfortable of anywhere we have stayed. But the best part is the outdoor space with the large covered patio and lots of comfortable seating. There also is a fire pit area and the pristine Watauga River for fishing. There is an extra fridge on the patio for drinks and watermelon. The thoughtful host even left us fresh strawberries and cake for a graduation dessert. She was very quick to respond and available if we needed anything. Located in a nice neighborhood but within 5-10 minutes of all conveniences and within 25 minutes of ETSU. My only regret is that we didn’t know about it the past 4 years our daughter was in college. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be staying here again to enjoy the river and some downtime.

Summary: It is very convenient to fishing the Watauga River and Wilbur Lake. Also it's very close to restaurants in Elizabethton. Great house for 4 people. Manager is very nice and attentive.
