Smooth As Glass is conveniently located, only a 15 minute drive to downtown Huntsville. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Enjoy a relaxing waterfront view of the Tennessee River and experience all that Huntsville has to offer. Across the river launch your boat at Ditto Landing for fishing or water sports. Have coffee on the front deck and watch barges slip up and down the river, you may be lucky enough to see a bald eagle! Cook in the well equipped kitchen or on the grill.
The space
Located just minutes from Ditto Landing with boat launches and beautiful walking/bike trails. You are minutes alway from South Huntsville and within a twenty mile radius that includes Redstone Arsenal, VBC/Propst Arena, Space and Rocket Center, University of Alabama at Huntsville, RTJ Hampton Cove and Monte Sano State park. Truly right in the middle of all of wonderful attractions and restaurants of Huntsville while feeling miles away in quiet, quaint Lacey’s Spring.
Floor to ceiling views of the Tennessee River from the living room of this non-smoking 2 bedroom/1 bath home. The open concept living room, kitchen, and dining room have everything you need to feel right at home. The living room has a queen pull-out sofa bed which is perfect for children. A 65 inch Samsung tv with Roku lets you add your streaming platforms during your stay. The kitchen is well equipped if you choose to cook dinner for you and your family/travel group.
The primary bedroom is decorated with a duck theme and located right off of the living room. Get a great night's rest on the king Serta mattress. There is plenty of closet space to put away your suitcase and make yourself at home. This room has a 40 inch wall mounted Roku tv. The windows have blackout curtains and blinds.
The bathroom includes a separate walk-in shower and a jetted tub. A full sized washer and dryer is located in a large closet in the bathroom area.
The blue bedroom has a comfortable queen bed with a Serta mattress and includes a 32 inch tv with Roku. Don't forget to bring passwords for your streaming platforms! This room also boasts a large window with a view of the river. Watching for barges at night with all their lights is a unique experience, but if you would rather have it dark and cozy there are blinds and blackout curtains for your use.
The backdoor has a doggie door for your furry companion. This pet door leads out to the front deck and the fenced backyard. The front deck has amazing views with dappled sunlight for early morning coffee, blazing sun for laying out midday, and complete shade for late afternoon cocktails.
Make smores and watch the fishermen race back to the marina in the evening. Enjoy the outdoor lights around the firepit/outdoor dining area as you wind down the night.

Summary: This house was everything that was in the advertisement. It was so nice showing up late in the evening and having outside lighting around chairs and campfire ready for use. The inside was decorated very cozy and had everything and anything yiu could need. I would definitely stay at this ho.e agin. Eay better than staying in a hot anyday and the views of the river and peaceful front porch sittings were wonderful. Thank you so much!campfire ready to go

Summary: We had a wonderful time here; it was exactly the quiet getaway we were looking for! Comfortable, clean, and gorgeous views. We did not meet our hosts in person but had great communication through the app. They were so kind and left special welcome gifts for our check-in. even though it’s off the beaten path, it’s not too far from bigger city areas, so there’s plenty to do.

Summary: This is a very comfortable home, located very close to anywhere you may want to visit, in or near, Huntsville. We stayed at the Smooth As Glass Chalet during the Christmas holidays. Craig and Julia went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They welcomed us with a completely decorated home, both inside and out, and also provided goodies for us and our dog: fresh eggs, fruit, cookies and dog treats. The location is so serene. I truly enjoyed being able to see the River and hope to return when the weather is warmer so that we can take full advantage of all the are has to offer.I will definitely reach out to them in the future whenever we travel to Huntsville area.

Summary: Booked this amazing property for a fishing tournament my husband and I traveled out from California for. The house was clean, charming and well stocked with everything we needed (toiletries, cooking wear, towels, hair dryer, etc.). Summary: Our stay at Julia’s home in Laceys Spring was wonderful! The home is beautiful and comfortable, and our hosts did not neglect any details… down to shampoo, lotion, and bubble bath! The home was immaculate, the beds were extremely comfortable, the jetted tub and shower were fabulous, and the kitchen was fully equipped. We enjoyed the peacefulness as we drank our morning coffee on the deck, and the fenced in area was just wonderful for our little pup! It truly felt like a home away from home. We look forward to staying again when we return to Huntsville! Thanks so much!
