Positive: Coffee tour was interactive, informative, and fun! Great place to stay while doing salkantay, food is plated beautifully and the rooms are comfortable and warm.

Positive: 100% the best place to stay on the Salkantay trek. Everything is excellent - starting with the lovely family. Then... 1. Fresh orange juice on arrival. 2. A proper hot shower which didn't ever go hot cold etc - it was great. 3. A comfortable bed - the best I had. 4. Dinner was great. ROSALIO is clearly trained - I had garlic bread and soup, then tempura chicken, homemade salsa and lots of excellent vegetables and sweet potato. No ghastly pasta or rice!!!! Yah. 5. Breakfast was excellent too - fresh fruit salad and honey, smashed avocado, cheese, bread, fresh juices etc. (I asked for no eggs.) And a parting snack to take with me!! Seriously great value for money. Stay here!!

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Refugio de Mery. The room was spacious and comfortable with a private bathroom. The food was amazing - the best we had on the Salkantay Trek. The location is right on the trail too. I would highly recommend!

Positive: I’ve had such a nice stay at refugio de Mery, the rooms were spacious, fresh and clean with a clean bathroom and towel and shampoo included, the surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful, the food was incredibly good and the proprietor is such a kind person ❤️ highly recommend

Positive: We stayed at the Refugio de Mery during the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. When we arrived, Mery offered us a very refreshing Maracuja juice ( the best I had during my stay in Peru!). They gave us a private room with a private bathroom, with a hot shower! ( It was the first place offering us such a treatment during the trek!). The place itself is breathtaking, particularly the terrace above the shop, where we could chill in an amaca resting from the walk. The food was amazing: the dinner was delicious, and everything was cooked at the moment ( an appetizer made with toasted bread with oil, lomo saltado, arroz, fried banana, vegetables). The best thing was undoubtedly the breakfast: handmade guacamole ( km 0, as they grow the avocado!), espresso coffee ( km 0 as well!), omelette, papaya juice, bread, cheese and honey! Such a lovely place, and the host and her family are the kindest people we met along the trek. We highly recommend this place if you're doing the Salkantay Trek.

Positive: Very good food and very nice people, beautiful location and great coffee. We came there with a group and we had plenty of room to stay together and recover from the hikes of the day. Good sandwiches were for sale to bring a long for the next day.
Negative: The amount billed for the half-board at the property was higher than what was mentioned in booking.com advertisement.
Summary: Great place with great food and lovely hosts.
