Positive: The location by the river is stunning; kangaroos visited the site too. The wombats were illusive, one glimpse returning late at night as we faced each other before it retreated into its burrow. We watched raptors overhead and pelicans on the river. The tent is beautiful inside; the bed sumptuous. The breakfast was delicious; local products and a full cooked breakfast on the hot plate outside. Hash browns were a bonus! The shower was hot too. It’s close to Mannum to pop into town. We enjoyed both scenic drives and the free ferry service crossing back and forth as far as Swan reach. The provided maps and guides were very useful. We managed to star gaze both on site and through Juggle House at Walker Flat. Louise met us and chatted through the tent facilities; even kindly offered us use of their pool. There was a keypad gate to keep the site secure; 3 tents and the host’s property. The sunsets were beautiful. We would highly recommend staying. The complimentary wine was delicious- thank you! The telescope and binoculars are a bonus. The air conditioning and heaters worked well; timed cut off system. The TV had good reception; WiFi was strong too.

Negative: The weather!; no fault of the property! We arrived in rain; thankfully the heaters warmed the tent beautifully. The next day was windy until 9pm which limited our use of the site facilities. It was unexpected for us so you just need a plan B. We struggled with the bbq for an hour before giving up with the flame being repeatedly extinguished! It would be helpful to have an electric hob and pans as an extra option to the electric hot plate. Just a thought. We would have benefited from a small indoor dining table/chairs as an option because both nights were too cold to sit outside. We would have liked a sealed crate for fresh produce such as fruit/vegetables to reduce the ants. Thanks for the insect sprays! We are travelling long term so self cater more than most; other guests may not need these facilities. Thanks again!; great place; kind host.

Positive: Great location with a beautiful view, the rooms were really nice and clean.

Negative: The sofa in the lounge wasn't very comfortable. I would have liked a camping gas stove and a steamer pot, I thought there was going to be one but I had to steam veggies in the microwave.

Positive: The view and scenery were beautiful. It was quiet and serene. Accommodation was beautifully presented and decorated, clean, tidy and comfortable. Had everything we needed and more. The hosts are lovely people.

Negative: That we didn't get to stay longer and make the most of the accommodation. But we will be back again in future.
