Positive: The location is excellent. Such close access to the wonderful Santinho beach. The views from the property are wonderful, a very relaxed place to spend the hottest part of the day looking and listening to the ocean but in a shady spot. The pool is lovely. and the breakfasts were very good. Some days better than others, but always with a mix of sweet and savory and fresh fruit.

Negative: the property could use some upkeep-- rails on stairways were a little wobbly for example, and some steps both inside and outside of rooms are a little dangerous. Also, this is no fault of the property itself, but high season in the Ingleses neighborhood is a traffic nightmare so it was hard getting around due to long and erratic traffic times. Hard to plan because a ride that looked like it would be 40 minutes could become and hour in a half in an instant.

Summary: Our stay was relaxed and lovely. I would recommend Recanto Vera Lucia and stay there again.
