Positive: The location was perfect for exploring both Rabat and Mdina within walking distance to just about everything. The house was incredibly unique and well restored with so many small details that really need to be seen to appreciate. We had everything we needed, including dish washer, washing machine and dryer. The beds were comfortable with lovely linen that made for an excellent nights sleep. Kitchen was well equiped if you wanted to dine in but also so many great restaurants near by to choose from.

Negative: We knew about the stairs before we arrived - these made for a great workout but are definitely not for those with mobility issues as outlined in the description. It would be nice to have some furniture in the bottom area to sit together on a hot day. Also if you enter the address in google maps it will take you to the wrong address. Make sure to use the coordinates sent by the host.

Positive: The location in the heart of Rabat was absolutely fantastic. The house itself was lovely, full of charming features that made our stay extra special. The stairs gave us a daily workout—perfect preparation for indulging in another delicious Maltese pastry! It was an easy stroll to Mdina, and we enjoyed most of our meals on the balcony, soaking in the wonderful views. There were plenty of cosy coffee shops nearby and even a 24-hour bakery for late-night cravings.

Negative: Wish that we could stay longer.

Positive: The house has been beautifully renovated to provide an airy, light and welcoming property. It is centrally situated in the town and it provides lots of space to spread out and has really effective aircon. Very quick and helpful responses to any messages sent to the property. I would definitely recommend the house but if you have mobility issues then there are lots of stairs to negotiate.

Negative: The house was what we had expected. The only thing we thought was missing was some sort of canopy or parasol for the roof terrace. It was such a fabulous space but only really accessible first thing in the morning or late afternoon onwards, as the sun was so strong.

Summary: A really lovely house with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Negative: It did mention in the description that there were stairs but I thought they were to the roof as it showed photo of roof and naturally stairs to that area,not stairs to every room in the house. 7 flights of stairs 45 steps in all. I would not have booked that house had I have known It’s more suitable for young people

Positive: The position it’s perfect, you are in the middle of the island. It was amazing to go jogging in Mdina every morning. The house it’s stunning! I was simply great to wake up in the morning and having breakfast on the rooftop with a view of Mdina. The gold-coloured limestone keeps the temperature of the house comfortable. I really loved the laundry with the sink and everything you need for washing, drying and ironing your clothes in just one room.

Negative: The floor wasn’t clean properly, we had to ask few times to clean it and at the end we just asked for an hoover for cleaning it by ourselves. I personally don’t like the mattress with a memory foam, my back has been affected after nearly a month sleeping on that.

Positive: Beautiful property lovingly restored. We had a very comfortable 4 nights here. Close to Mdina and many restaurants and supermarkets.

Negative: There are a lot of stairs! Also, there wasn’t really anywhere just to chill out together in comfort. It would have been nice to have had a small welcome pack of milk and water and there were no tea towels for drying up or dish cloths for wiping surfaces down. I couldn’t find the hairdryer! But these are just niggles- overall the place was great.

Summary: Beautiful house loving restored and near to everything. Great stay!

Positive: An architecturally interesting building, beautifully restored and immaculate. Every room on a separate level, linked by a stylish spiral staircase. A well equipped kitchen and laundry, and a nice roof terrace to sit out on. A good position just a short walk from Rabat centre, and an easy walk to Mdina.

Negative: Not a house for anyone with mobility problems, due to the number of stairs. Nothing provided in the kitchen, such as tea and coffee. The check-in / handover was very rushed. We were not allowed to leave our cases out of the way in the basement after 10 a.m. checkout, so with a late flight this is a problem if you do not have a car.

Summary: A beautiful building, well equipped and comfortable. in a good location, but with some drawbacks.
