Positive: Very well presented and well stocked with everything, no clutter, warm and plenty of hot water and most Importantly clean. Welcome pack the best we have ever had. The proximity to the hotel and its facilities was an added bonus. What didn't you like about the property? There was nothing we didn't like . Only suggestion may be a footstool. The sofas (which were comfortable) and arrangement of these are different in the pictures on b.com and would perhaps be a better arrangement than what it is now . These are only suggestions not criticism as it was all really

Negative: Could not get the heating to come on as we had a couple of days where it was raining and a bit chilly in the cottage.

Positive: The location was absolutely perfect for us, the walk down into Sandsend is lovely and not to far. The cottage itself is actually better then the pictures, the bath in the upstairs is a bit strange but it did not put us off. The cupboards are full of everything you would ever need which is great, although a handheld vac would have been good as we did take a dog.

Negative: The only thing that really did put us off was the refurb works, we did have to wait two days in a row to get back to our cottage, as delivery's were taking place, most of the building staff were rude and miserable. Although they are due to open October, so hopefully it will get better, but I think there are still new cottages to be built.

Positive: Had a lovely welcome hamper along with plenty of tea/ coffee etc. Plenty of cups and plates……really well equipped.

Negative: The round bath in the middle of the bathroom upstairs. It blocked access to the shower and sitting on the toilet. Really strange. Some complaints about the extensive building works on site but plenty of staff to help us navigate route to our cottage. So for us not an issue.

Summary: Very relaxing and a lovely retreat. A very countryside feel whilst being near to facilities.

Positive: Loved the decor and ambiance - it was very nice It was easy to get to and location was excellent

Negative: The cleaning could have been better. Under the tv stand and the cupboard were just a bit grimy There was lots of cobwebs - some we cleared and the spiders that were there We cleaned in the footwells of the doors because they were filthy and swept out the front of the door.

Summary: Was peaceful and lovely - one of the nicest places we have stayed in
