Negative: On the booking platform it said ‘2 double rooms’. It’s not 2 double rooms it’s actually 2 double beds in one room - a huge difference.

Positive: The room was well laid out with many benefits, like the washer/dryer and the private onsen. It is right on the lake, and the torii gate and Hakone shrine are walking distance. Also close by are a large 7-11 and the bus stop (easy distance to Mishima skybridge by bus). The beds were quite comfortable.

Negative: The check-in process is difficult and frustrating. I would hesitate to stay here again just for this reason. A place with no staff is not great from the guest’s POV. Finally, our room had a beautiful patio with great daytime view, but at night any view was completely obliterated by a bright light from the walking path by the lake. Don’t expect much from the box food provided.

Summary: Lovely location, with some drawbacks.

Positive: Checked in without any issues, despite arriving at 9 pm. Lush ID, wide (and heated) walkway and floor to ceiling window from building entrance to our room comparable to that of a 4 or 5 star hotel. Not to mention the huge clean common toilet available on the first floor if you don't want to return to your room just to use the toilet. Room was well-equipped and stocked with lots of complimentary snacks and drinks. View and location were unparalleled.

Negative: If you wish to cook, you have to bring your own seasoning and oil. Not a major inconvenience, just something to note.

Positive: Fantastic view of mount fuji from our apartment and open bath with Fuji view too. Like the big projector and sound bar provided , plus the drinks and snacks in the fridge , Good !

Negative: The check in process must key in all the guests details and scan passport , face ... Too much info needed to key in. It was 5 of us , took very long time to complete.

Positive: The location, the private hot spring bath and foot bath on the balcony, luxurious smart apartment. Free drinks and cake in the fridge. The view was fab too although as we were only on the second floor, our view was a little obscured by the trees outside, presumably put there to give the apartment some privacy.

Negative: No where to store luggage or to receive luggage delivery. It was really inconvenient having to find somewhere else to store your luggage or have to drag it around with you until check-in time at 3pm.
