Positive: Friendly hosts and quiet location. The kitchen facilities were really good. Beds were comfortable. We really appreciated the milk, duck eggs, shortbread and jams. We liked seeing the ducks on their daily walkabout. Parking was easy.

Positive: The cottage is in a peaceful location and very well equipped with everything we needed for our week stay. Fresh milk and eggs on arrival was a nice touch. We enjoyed being on a farm and the goats kept us entertained. An ideal location if you want to climb Scafell Pike. The centre of Gosforth is only about 1 1/2 miles away and has a few options for eating out. We had a couple of good meals in The Kellbank. The nearest supermarket is in Seascale, (the shop in Gosforth suffered a fire in August). The fish and chip shop and ice cream parlour in Seascale are definitely worth a visit.
