Positive: Beautiful historic feel, filled with character. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and wonderful bathroom. I was tickled by the light under the sink! The pool was great. In the evening, we enjoyed cocktails in the long bar. The included breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Negative: When I turned up for breakfast, I was told that I didn’t have breakfast included. After a short while it was confirmed that I was correct. It just felt a little embarrassing and could have been managed better.

Positive: The hotel itself is an amazing building. Our room had a comfortable bed, and the shower was lovely. The hotel's restaurant 1929 served some of the most delicious food we ate on our trip - everything from the Pho to the Croque Monsieur was so tasty. The pool area was great. The highlight was the Elephant Bar which was amazing, and the cocktails were incredible.

Negative: The walls were paper thin, so we could hear people going to the toilet above us. The door was so thin and with gaps around it in the frame, so all night we were woken up with banging along the corridor. We had a safety concern. You are asked to leave your keys at reception when you leave the hotel, and on one day we asked for the wrong room by accident when we got back (getting 2 digits the wrong way round), and we were just handed the keys to someone else's room and didn't realise until we were in it! We could have been anyone and just walked in off the street so that was quite worrying.
