Positive: Synnøve was a great host. She greeted us warmly, delivered us and baggage to house, and even offered to dry our wet hiking shoes. The lodge was perfect for our family (two adults and two-college-age children). The view is spectacular. The living room and kitchen face almost 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows of the Lustrafjorden, the innermost part of the Sognefjorden. The same view is available on the deck below (outside). The experience is to sit with a cup of tea (or over dinner) and watch the water peacefully and without rush. It was a joy.

Negative: Note that toilet is outside lodge in outhouse (maybe 150 feet). As we are hikers and campers, this was not a negative for us; indeed, the outhouse is extremely well maintained. I share to manage expectations, particularly for those who may have mobility issues and/or small children.

Summary: The lodge presents a unique experience and unrivaled view.

Positive: A place to never forget. The cabin on the edge of the mountain with an unforgettable view was breathtaking. You come close to nature. Very sweet and helpful host and hostess. The cabin is a bit further from the farm and parking lot. This gives you privacy. The suitcases are brought to the cabin. A great experience.

Negative: Showering outside at the farm has its charm. Perhaps it can be looked at whether there is a possibility to make a shower at the cabin.
