Positive: My stay at Quinta Turu was easily one of the most incredible lodging experiences of my life. This beautiful two-story home, with floor to ceiling windows, has absolutely amazing views of the mountains. The home is impeccably maintained and equipped with everything you could possibly need - a full kitchen, AC, WiFi, TV, plus extras like a hot tub and fire pit. The home is also perfectly located for checking out the Juan Castro Blanco and Poas Volcano National Parks. But what truly made this stay extraordinary was Silvia, my point of contact for the family who runs this gem. Her hospitality was simply unparalleled and genuinely made this one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. Silvia provided great recommendations and went above and beyond in every way imaginable. Out of pure kindness, she and her husband drove me to dinner on my first night, provided transportation to and from a waterfall tour, and even drove me 30 minutes to my next destination. During that drive, they were wonderful company, sharing stories about their lives and treating me to delicious chicharrón. As someone practicing Spanish, I was touched by their patience and encouragement with my developing language skills. And the best part of the drive? When I mentioned I hadn’t yet spotted a sloth during my Costa Rica trip, they actually took a detour to show me one living in a roadside tree. This is truly one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed. If I could rate this experience higher than 10/10, I absolutely would. I can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to stay here again

Positive: Fabulous house with spectacular view. Wish we could have stayed longer!! Lovely deck overlooking trees full of toucans and other birds. Jacuzzi on deck. Very big garden with lake. Very private. Spacious house with big kitchen/living room and huge first floor bedroom with full length windows to highlight views. Great communication from host who was very helpful. Highly recommend!!!

Positive: Very cute and cozy, loved the natural lighting and the privacy. Great location. Great having a gas stove range. The support team were responsive and did drop off water 2 days into a boil water notice during our stay.

Negative: There was no dishwasher even though there was one advertised. The oven did not work (I tried to preheat it for about 4 hours and it got warm, maybe 200 degrees but never came to temp. I had it set to 425 degrees). Very small water heater so expect to take a very short shower, but that's ok. The code to get into the lock box to access the key was not what they told us, so we had to call and get assistance to access the site.
