Summary: When we arrived at the property, Carmen and her lovely dogs welcomed us with open arms. It's located about 30 minutes from Porto and if you seek for peace and quit it's the best place to stay. The huge garden is so adorable. We enjoyed it a lot. Carmen is a very open-minded and friendly host. We will come back for sure. :-)

Summary: We had an amazing holiday here. The pool is huge and the gardens are beautiful with lots of shaded areas to sit and eat. Carmen was very helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome and gave us all the privacy we needed - the perfect host. A thoroughly relaxing time and a great location for exploring nearby towns like Braga, Aveiro and Porto. A wonderful place to stay!

Summary: Beautiful place in the middle of nowhere, you need a car and knowledge of Portugese as locally taxi drivers dont speak a word of English. The bar and supermarket are with walking distance very cheap but basic.

Summary: A fantastic base to explore Northern Portugal from, Carmen's property had everything we were looking for. The private pool is massive and is wonderful to cool down in after a day's exploring or simply spending the day sunbathing and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful, full of fruit trees and grapevines. It was a short drive to the train station to hop on a train and spend the day in Porto (just over €4 return... far less stressful than driving in Porto!). Also there are plenty of restaurants about a 15 minute drive away in Parades and Penefiel. There's a cafe about a minutes walking distance and a fabulous wine bar a 10 minute walk away. Carmen lives on the property in a separate house and was always available to answer any queries or give suggestions on places to visit.
