Summary: The room was nice and spacious. We had a cobbled floor in the room which was hard to walk on and felt less hygienic. The pools are quite small. The bathroom jacked an extractor fan do the walls were very wet after using the shower. The bathroom floor was not well drained so remained wet until after the dealers had been. Tea and coffee making facilities were inadequate. We were not shown the communal rooms on arrival (lounge areas) and did not discover these till later in our stay. There are very few facilities close to the hotel. There are steep elites and steps on the site so not suitable fit people with mobility issues. We felt like we were tolerated as an add on to the vineyard rather than valued guests

Summary: Historic vineyard home that is now a hotel. Very clean, great shower and a really nice breakfast taken outside looking out to the sea in the distance.

Summary: Great property to get away and properly relax. Little shop at top of steep hill was perfect to get essentials to make your own or have drinks by the cottage. Drinks/ food limited otherwise by pool and need to be requested at reception. The adjoining restaurant was fantastic so highly recommend booking. There was wine tasting available on certain days but didn’t suit or travel plans. Their Madeira wine was delicious. Great location to branch out to different areas around this side of island.

Summary: A quaint historical farmhouse type property situated in a vineyard, with great views of the sea. Recommended friendly restaurant and breakfast, offering top quality local produce. Car is essential for exploration of area, especially the amazing levada and mountain walks. Easily accessible on the main road, (except a slightly tricky steep entrance, that is not too obvious) A unique and relaxing stay in village setting away from the tourist bustle of Madeira.
