Positive: Magnificent view on the Douro and surrounding hills and vineyards. Clean places with very good air conditioning in all places Big terrace Superb swimming pool and swimming area Friendly hosts and perfect service

Positive: The best views in The Douro! We loved our stay here- immaculate presentation, 2 decent sized bedrooms with big shutter windows, excellent individual aircon. Kitchen had everything in it for a fabulous cook up. Huge deck for outdoor eating overlooking the valley. Friendly and helpful owners. Big clean pool. You definitely need a car. Overlooked Six Senses Douro Valley. We went there for a drink and felt very privileged to return to our own castle! Would definitely stay at Quinta das Murteinhos again.

Positive: We arrived at the start of harvest, and were warmly welcomed by Guilherme and his wife. Our three nights at Quinta das Murtinheiras could not have been better for feeling part of the Douro region. After day trips to various wineries in the region, we looked forward to enjoying a glass of wine on the porch overlooking the vineyards and the Douro River. The 2-story apartment was extremely clean and attractive, with amazing views from every window. The kitchen was well-equipped and we even grilled fresh Dourada on the indoor BBQ. It is a special property.
