1 Bedroom Cabin in Dushore

Quiet setting along the South Black Creek, A screened in porch with a picnic table and chairs for your comfort, 1 bedroom with a double bed, open living room and kitchen, a loft for the kids and one bathroom. Great view of the creek looking out the living room window. This property is unplugged! No wifi, no cell service, no tv.
Gas stove in the living room for the fireplace look when it gets a little chilly outside. We have installed an outside pit for campfires( Bring your Camp Chairs!) next to the creek and a convenient path down to the creek.
The cabin is approximately seven miles from the down of Dushore, Pa which has two small grocery stores a Family Dollar Store and two gas stations.
PLEASE NOTE *** This is a cabin in the woods, not a spa retreat or a pristine property in the country, you may encounter Mosquitos, flies, gnats, spiders, ants, mice, bats, ducks, birds, skunks, porcupine, fox, coyote, deer, bear, just to name a few. If you have a fear of any of these you might be happier staying at home, Save yourself the trouble of asking for a refund because you feel unsafe. We do our very best to make this property clean and comfortable. In the Fall and spring we Do have to evict mice from the cabin and it does involve placing "special food" for them in strategic places in the cabin. Be realistic with your expectations of any cabin in the woods when you are booking your retreat!
If there is a problem with the cabin please feel free to call us so that we can address the situation while you are there! Complaining about something after you have departed is bad form and somewhat suspicious!

Summary: Hubby and I stayed here for a week and did not want to leave. Coming from a busy city, the quiet and secluded area was definitely welcomed. It was a little chilly at night, but the fire furnace was just enough to keep it toasty in the cabin. The sound of the stream alongside the cabin was a comforting sound to fall asleep to. We will definitely be back.

Summary: Lovely, relaxing space. We knew there was no phone or cell service, but oh how weird it felt to be so disconnected. We settled into that after a day or so, and found one area of the road near the cabin that had some service for gathering directions and area information that we didn't collect in advance. And while we had no issues, the shower stall is very tight.
