Private mountain retreat nestled in Lincoln National Forest. This serene escape is a short drive from the Village of Ruidoso and Ski Apache. Nestled in the small community of Alto, this getaway is perfect for a quiet and relaxing vacation or weekend trip. Local wildlife is plentiful - elk, turkeys, birds, and wild horses are never hard to find. This home is handicap accessible with a front ramp and a spacious master bathroom just off the master bedroom. There are two more spacious rooms and a second bathroom in the main hall. A large living area with generous seating offers cozy places to visit, read, or watch movies. A full kitchen is available as well as a dining room table, perfect for not only eating but doing puzzles and playing games. Rustic mountain and vintage decor adds charm to this quiet mountain home. Summary: We had such a great time staying here during our family ski trip! The house was super cozy and had this nostalgic vibe that brought back so many childhood memories. It felt like a real home away from home.The living room was perfect for hanging out as a family—comfy couches, a warm fireplace, and even some classic board games that kept us entertained. The kitchen had everything we needed to whip up meals, and the dining area was great for family dinners and laughs.The bedrooms were comfy and cozy, and it was clear the hosts put a lot of thought into making the place feel welcoming. The location was awesome—close to the slopes but still quiet and peaceful.Big thanks to the hosts for creating such a warm and inviting space. Summary: My family and I had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed having all the activities near by as well as having fun indoors. The drive was even more wonderful, we saw many wildlife. We hope to come back to New Mexico as well as this beautiful cabin.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in the house. The house is completely furnished with anything you need. The furniture is comfortable. The outside views are great. Every morning, as we drank our coffee on the back deck, we would see deer. My husband saw a bear one morning when he was up earlier. Even though neighbors are around, everything was very quiet. We would recommend and hope to stay here again!
