Positive: The location is really great, so close to bikini beach and there are some restaurants nearby that are really nice! We were picked up and dropped off at the harbour. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was buffet-style and good. The room was really comfortable as well and good sound isolation. It was cleaned every day. Really fair pricing for what you get!

Negative: The only point which was weird is that we booked a snorkelling tour through the hotel and the boat left us for 20 minutes. We are strong swimmers so when they asked if we needed snorkelling guide we said it was not really necessary. But then we didn’t expect to be left completely alone and if something would have happened, nobody could have helped us. The boat came back after 20 mins to pick us up but we thought it was really weird they left without saying anything and that this was unsafe.

Positive: I had a truly fantastic stay at Quicksand in Rasdhoo. This guesthouse offers an absolutely unbeatable location that made exploring the island incredibly easy and convenient. The geographical location is superb—everything I needed was within a three-minute walk: the beautiful beach, a nearby sports field, some excellent local restaurants, and even the island's only hospital. This level of accessibility is simply wonderful! Beyond the location, the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I want to give a special shout-out to Ali, who was always smiling, incredibly friendly, and consistently ready to help guests with anything we needed. I am especially grateful to Ali because I carelessly left my wireless earphones in the room, and he found them and made sure they were returned to me. Thank you so much, Ali! Your honesty and helpfulness truly made my stay memorable. I highly recommend Quicksand to anyone visiting Rasdhoo.

Positive: The hotel’s location is perfect – just a two-minute walk to the beach, maybe even less. The manager who picked us up and took us to the port was very kind and extremely attentive. We arrived in the morning by ferry and were pleasantly surprised that we could have breakfast that same day, which is quite rare, and our rooms were already prepared for us. The rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with a safe. We highly recommend this place.

Negative: The breakfast staff could check and refill the food more frequently, as the containers are quite small and tend to empty after just a few guests. It often takes around 15–20 minutes for them to be refilled. The musty smell in the bathroom is, unfortunately, quite common in the Maldives as there is no AC and is hot.

Positive: Our stay was wonderful. We would like to thank all the hotel staff for their cordiality and engagement. We received a large room with a comfortable bathroom, cleaned every day. Air conditioning worked perfectly. The food was very good, we recommend fresh juices! A quiet place, worth recommending for rest.

Positive: Big airy room, with outdoor shower, comfortable bed nicy balcony. Manager Ali very friendly. Room was clean.

Negative: That the property isn't beachfront as was written in the description. It's close to the beach, about 150 m from the beach. There isn't sea view from any balcony or any point from the hotel. From the balcony I had a view of a local soccer playground and volleyball ball ground. Breakfast could be better. Eggs (fried) were cold. Not really tropical fruits, only water melon, apple, orange, bananas

Positive: We have received the warmest welcome imaginable. And in fact two times! We happened to be at Rasdhoo island for few hours several days before our booked stay, and the manager Ali has organized our transport, some food and took care of our luggage even in this unofficial time window. Truly remarkable! When we finally arrived for our planned stay a week later, we felt as if we came to visit a friend :) We stayed upstairs in the newly built floor and we had AC, fan, sofa, wonderful balcony, comfortable bed, big bathroom, breakfast and water included. The beach is just 2 minutes away! Many shops, mini markets, restaurants around the property. Tip: do not miss an excursion led by Suxaine to the Sandbank! In fact do them all if you can afford.

Negative: I appreciate everybody's opinion, however I remain baffled for those few bad reviews, because I found it somehow unrelated to this cute hotel. Well for those of you seeking to explore a unique local island and learn about culture and anthropology, coupled with a comfortable accommodation and caring stuff, Rasdhoo and Quicksand offer a truly rich experience! However if you are looking for a water villa as seen in brochures, prepare minimum 700$ a night and visit a private island resort...
