Positive: It was very clean and comfortable, and the room was styled pleasantly. Security was good. The location was good, with plenty of dining options in the surrounding streets. The mini bar options were good, as was the breakfast box I purchased.
Negative: I wish it had a room service option for dining. Also I was unhappy with having to pay a $200 deposit. It impacted on my visit and limited my activities, as I didn’t have a lot of spare cash for that week. I was visiting Melbourne for a funeral. Taking a credit card number instead for the purposes of covering damage is a better alternative, and would result in less disruption to guests who do the right thing.
Summary: I did enjoy my stay at Quest Preston and will return one day.
