Summary: Reception was friendly and welcoming and we were located in a quiet part of the hotel. That was lovely but .... our room had a very strong smell of disinfectant when we arrived; it was overpowering. The bed was just OK but no pillows to suit a range of sleepers: all four pillows soft and quite thin. Window would not close. Living area was clean but the bathroom was awful. Soap scum in the bath. Both bath taps were loose and falliing off. The bathroom floor was sticky, with mouldy, dirty grout (def needed a good scrub). Shower arrangement loose and fiddly to use. Shower screen not clean and tired looking. TV would not connect to internet. We came here because it was cosidered to be 'exceptional' accommodation. It was nowhere near that, at least in this room (03B).

Summary: Our studio room was functionally ok, but decidedly spartan: plastic kettle, no coffee plunger, very few tea bags, missed one bed lamp, blinds but no curtains, no bedside outlets to charge a phone, shower head only partially working, no elevator to upper level. On the positive side, king bed was comfortable and the neighbors were quiet. Good off street parking.
