Positive: The check-in staff were friendly and the room large, clean, and comfy.

Negative: We had stayed at this particular Quality Inn before, last year - and really loved it, so we booked it again for this road trip. However, we were disappointed. While the staff were friendly and the room large, clean, and comfy, the entire place seemed just blah. Last year, there was a definite attention to detail, and everything looked gorgeous. This time it was just bare and plain - especially the lobby. Breakfast was sorely lacking with the juice machine out of order and no bread of any kind. The hotel's ice machine was also out of order, causing us to have to stop and purchase ice after we left in the morning. At one point there was a woman in the lobby who accidentally locked herself out of her room, and there was no one at the front desk. She waited a long while and even rang the bell but no one came. We found and had to make a phone call for help, and only then did a disheveled man appear to assist. Ridiculous.

Positive: Property was clean and well lit after dark, and conveniently located, with a Food City and great Mexican food, Los Poblanos, at the other end of the parking lot. The lobby was bright and friendly and Thomas welcomed me as soon as I entered the building. He met me at the front desk with friendly conversation and was genuinely kind. When he learned the reason behind my stay, Thomas offered empathy and told me a bit about his story — he was very encouraging and I am really glad to have met him. He was everything I didn’t expect in the best of ways: professional, kind, personable, and overall a blessing to encounter. Nicole greeted me at check out and she was fabulous as well.

Summary: Pleasantly surprised and glad I picked this location over the bigger names in Cleaveland!
