2 Bedroom House in Langley

Situated on 2+ acres, this "attached guesthouse" offers stunning sunrise views of Hat Island, Puget Sound, and the Cascade Mountains. Relax on your private deck with morning coffee or a bottle of wine from one of Whidbey Islands award winning wineries. We are a 5 min walk to Comforts of Whidbey winery and a 5 minute drive to the seaside village of Langley, filled with fantastic restaurants and charming shops. This property is a perfect couples getaway. Your privacy is our top priority.
First Light is a non-smoking property. We have a no pets and shoes-off policy and no children under the age of 12.
IMPORTANT- if for any reason you need to cancel, YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR OWN RESERVATION. Simply pull up your VRBO account and cancel your reservation directly through VRBO prior to the “no fee cancellation period” of 14 days. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this causes. If you are unable to cancel within the timeframe of 14 days prior to your stay, contact me directly and we can arrange for you to “reschedule “ but I will be unable to provide a refund.
*This guesthouse is designed for two guests only. If you wish to include a third guest you MUST obtain permission from the host and an additional charge will be collected at check-in per person, per night. Please, NO parties.
The guesthouse bedrooms are located on the second floor. The rooms are well appointed but please be aware that the ceiling height on the 2nd floor is 6’-8” and therefore is not recommended for individuals over 6’-5”. The master bedroom has a stunning view and is spacious and very comfortable.
The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and the deck offers dining and lounging areas. Deer are frequent visitors and eagles nest nearby.
During March and April keep an eye out for whale watching boats. Gray whales spouting can often be seen.
The living room has a TV with cable and access to Netflix and HBO. There are books, games and puzzles as well as binoculars at your disposal.
There is a fire pit (upon request) with plenty of fire wood, when burn bans are not in place.
Although your privacy is important to us, we are available to answer questions or make recommendations on activities and restaurants.

Summary: Mary and Mark were amazing hosts. They provided us with so many great tips on the local area and were so kind. The property itself was lovely with every possible amenity and comfortable beds. They even provided coffee! The views from the property are unparalleled, and we loved sitting on the deck watching the water. We are definitely planning to come back for a longer stay.

Summary: A beautiful location, cannot be beaten with the view of the ocean and bay outside on the green space where deer come frequently, lists if hummingbirds. Your own private sanctuary if you will, a deck with privacy, plenty of seating for meals and relaxing. off the quiet road where there is a trail to the beach( can be a little challenging for some). The private accommodations are well stocked, comfortable, clean, modern, well ventilation with windows that are easily opened as needed. The host was very accommodating with information for the local area including a hiking guide which greatly appreciated.

Summary: This was a wonderful property for a weekend getaway from Seattle. It has an amazing view, is very clean and has an extremely comfortable king bed. There's a second bedroom with two more beds for kids that we didn't use. Although the property is attached to the host's main home, the unit is very private. I would book again!

Summary: We really loved our time here. The location is beyond beautiful, with spectacular water views. Nice to be such a short drive to Langley. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and tasteful. Summary: What a view! None better! You will not find better hosts than Mary and Mark! We visit yearly for a little rest and relaxation. Plenty on the island to explore. However, nothing better than sitting on the deck, watching the wildlife, the sunrise and the sunset!
