This beautiful property is located in the heart of a natural reserve near the village of la Mole, in the center of Provence and the "massif des Maures" - the "Moorish Hills".
St. Julien is a traditional old Provencal mas - an upscale, renovated farmhouse - nestled in the luxuriant countryside and offering total peace and calm.
Built over a century ago in the midst of some 50 acres of woods, maquis and vineyards on the edge of a preserved forest, the main house of the property has been built on a gentle grassy slope, offering spectacular views on the stunning hills of Provence. The lower terrace, set in the shade of a hundred year-old plane tree and its younger offspring allow for a constant outdoor living with immeasurable pleasure and charm.
Protected from the mistral wind, the villa unites all the qualities of a great manor house decorated in traditional French taste, along with the amenities of a luxurious home close to the shore.
Its location set back from the coast provides easy access to the principal beaches of St. Tropez and environs. The perpetual party is only 20 minutes away, with no concern about traffic congestion that exist on coastal roads.
The large 40’x 20’ pool (see photos) is hidden away in the middle of an island of greenery, allowing children to have fun, without disturbing those relaxing in the house or on the lower terrace.

Summary: We had an amazing time at the property which was exactly as described. The responsiveness of the manager was perfect, the premises were clean. The way it is set up is ideal for both adults and children. I would strongly recommend it.

Summary: We chose this property because a friend's family had rented it for several years in a row. It is located within walking distance of a small village that has a couple of decent restaurants and a great bakery. We drove into St. Tropez several times and that was an easy drive from the house. The house is charming and large. It has lots of bathrooms compared to some of the home we looked at and this was key for us because we were a pretty big group. The outdoor seating area was very pretty and shaded by a big tree. The kitchen was small but has all of the pots and pans and other tools anyone would need. There is a large table in the kitchen that we used for breakfast and meal prep. You can walk up a quiet road to a reservoir and we did this hike just about every day. The property manager, Benoit, was always responsive and helpful. He emails back very quickly and speaks great English. There was record heat the summer that we were there and that would be the only detractor because there is no central air, which is very typical from what I saw in researching houses to rent in the area. There is a large swimming pool on the property. It is a short walk across a field and was well-maintained. The property is large, private and peaceful.
