Positive: The house is beautiful. Spacious and comfortable and in a lovely spot just in front of the duck pond. It was the perfect size for our large family group.

Negative: There was nothing to dislike about the house. The pub in the village has closed down and the garden centre/cafe has limited opening hours so it’s worth taking your own basic supplies.

Positive: A beautiful home, lovingly restored and perfect for us as friends with families to spend some time away together. Space options were perfect for us. There were 14 of us with the children’s ages ranging from 4-15 and the room configurations suited us well. There was space for all of us to relax during the evenings. A ‘playroom’, lounge and seating in the kitchen. The gym was a big hit and the kitchen/ dining area was great. We all fitted around the dining table and the space around the island meant cooking was a social occasion. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of glasses, plates etc The house was clean & tidy, it had character & charm. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms modern. We were so pleased with our last minute booking and had a wonderful stay.

Negative: Perhaps the option of an additional bed/ sofa bed for the youngest member of our group to sleep in with his parents would have been useful but the king size bed was plenty big enough. Plastic/ child friendly crockery too maybe. but this wasn’t essential. The 2 girls in our group found the top double room a little chilly but we just got a blanket from the car.
