Travel Purpose: business

Negative: Because it was pretty cold out while I was staying there I found that the windows at the foot of the bed were pretty drafty and the heat was on the opposite side of the studio, so it was kind of chilly anywhere beyond where the heater blew, and I was unable to control the temperature myself, and bummer to there being only one extra throw blanket. The “rules” the property have listed are pretty intense, more than I’ve ever seen, and despite a cleaning fee, a list of “chores” at check out was given.

Summary: Basic efficiency unit, suited my needs.

Positive: The studio is aptly named with its charming set up within short distance of Salem. We would have felt right at home with heat and extra blankets to weather the New England chill. However, we were lucky to have the winter sun, and the charming/magical atmosphere of Salem to warm us. The inviting and charismatic community of Salem left us wanting more. I look forward to (more prepared, warmer) future stays filled with wonderful memories and life long stories.
