Positive: I have never given 10 before on any review, but this property deserved it. It well exceeded our expectations and made this short trip to Sicily very memorable. Travelling as a group of colleagues, we found the location to be wonderful, and really relaxing. The villa is surrounded by lemon trees and it is so quiet and peaceful, it is the perfect place to unwind in the evenings. Breakfast on the veranda was an excellent way to start the day. The bedrooms were clean and the mattresses were comfortable. Communication with Leo was easy, he checked our arrival times and offered his assistance at all times. He showed us how to use all the appliances and the wifi, he also gave us information on where to eat and shop. We would all definitely return in the future.

Negative: Everything was perfect for our stay. I would only advise to have a car to fully enjoy the surrounding area.

Positive: A Sicilian secret garden with lemon trees, cactuses, sweet kittens, flying Swifts (birds) in the air and a smoking volcano to watch along the horizon. The owners are beyond clean, provided us tons of towels, and all the bedrooms have air conditioners.

Positive: The house is very comfortable and located in a beautiful area. You need a car to move around but it was not a problem for us. The lemon trees were quite an attraction and the view for etna is unbeatable. We enjoyed ourselves there very much.

Negative: The communication with the host was tricky. We had a problem with sudden invasions of flies and their larvae. Instead of providing a vacuum cleaner and maybe even try to help us clean, the host was accusing us of being dirty and not taking any responsibility. Suddenly refused to speak English, and just saying its our problem, too bad we have a 7 month old baby with us. The rest of the stay the owner was uninterested and ignored us.

Positive: The house was very clean and spacious. Leo lives nearby, he's very friendly and helpful, he came straight away to fix a minor repair when we let him know about it. The best thing about the property is the huge, fantastic garden. We loved eating breakfast outside every day and relaxing on the terrace, with wonderful views of Etna and the sea, and watching all the birds. The smell of the lemon blossom was so nice and it was lovely being able to help ourselves to some of the fruit. You do need a car if you are staying here, but it is pretty close to the main roads and easy to find restaurants and supermarkets. We drove to some of the nearby towns, to Taormina, Siracuse and different areas around Etna. If you're happy not staying in a busy town or city, we would definitely recommend Profumo Di Zagara, it's so peaceful. You get the best of both worlds, a lovely calm place to stay, but close enough to easily visit the busier touristy places.

Negative: The kitchen could be slightly better stocked, maybe with some basics, like salt, pepper etc. (although it did have some coffee and olive oil) and some bigger glasses! But this is a minor point and would certainly not put us off staying here again if we ever returned to Siciy :)
