5 Bedroom Villa in Foiano della Chiana

Situated on a hillside and surrounded by the vineyards of a famous local wine producing farm, Villa Al Pozzo is the ideal place to spend a holiday in complete relaxation and tranquility. Recently renovated, the villa will allow its guests to enjoy the experience of living in a classic Tuscan country house, with its typical elements such as wrought iron beds, tiled floors and wooden beamed ceilings. The villa is an excellent starting point to visit the most important cities of Tuscany.
ACCOMMODATION: Independent farmhouse of about 400 square meters that can accommodate up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms (4 double and 1 twin) with 6 bathrooms. Air conditioning available in all the bedrooms and living room.
On the ground floor you enter the villa directly from the garden and reach the large living room with fireplace where you can find the TV and the dining table. The built-in kitchen is fully equipped and furnished with all the appliances, with direct access to the garden and to the outdoor area equipped for your al fresco dinners. From the kitchen you can also reach the laundry room, where you can find a washing machine and dryer and a service bathroom. Still on the ground floor there is the large master bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower. The bedroom has French doors to the garden.
An internal staircase leads to the first floor, where there are three double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower (one also has a bathtub) and the fourth twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower.
Heating available upon request, included in the price with villa temperature set at 20C°
GARDEN AND SWIMMING POOL: The villa is surrounded by a fenced park of one hectare with mature trees and a perfectly manicured lawn. It also boasts a large barbecue area equipped with couches and tables for your dinner outdoor, in addition to the old barn which has been equipped as a dining area connected to the kitchen. The villa has also a private parking place.
The panoramic terrace is furnished with a beautiful table and chairs in wrought iron. From here you can reach the lower level still offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. On this level you can find the private swimming pool (6 x 12 meters, 0.9 - 2 meters deep / open from 01 May to 31 October) and a comfortable shower. In this area, you can also find an outdoor Jacuzzi for 4 persons.
CHEF SERVICE: upon request at an extra cost, a chef can be hired to prepare in-villa dinners or cooking classes. Contact me for more information!

Summary: The villa was truly magical. It was everything we wanted and more. There was plenty of space for my family of six adults and four children. The location was excellent! We were able to visit the nearby towns of Cortona, Lucignano, Sinalunga and Montepulciano. We also drove to Florence which is about an hour away. Paolo was extremely helpful from reservations through check out. He also arranged to get us an amazing chef for one of our dinners. It was a vacation we will be talking about for years to come. We will definitely come back to this villa sometime in the future.

Summary: Very nice house, the garden with its various shadow and eating places is great. We have enjoyed our stay sorrounded by wineyards very much. The electrical system should be improved or better protected against humidity as we have experienced problems with the fuse box (lights, water pump etc). Besides that definitely a big recommendation.

Summary: We had a great stay at Villa al Pozzo. The villa is spacious and well equipped. The outdoor areas are wonderful, with different sitting areas to eat and to relax and with a big swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The only minor comment was that the information which we sent to the booking agency did not seem to have reached the people that needed to look after the practicalities (cot, high chair, extra bed). But is was all taken care off on a very short notice. The house is also nicely located to visit the surrounding area. I would certainly recommend Villa al Pozzo!

Summary: We had a fantastic stay in Villa al Pozzo! The location is just perfect and offers a lot of opportunities to visit the area (Siena, Cortona, Lucignano, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Brunello....). The house looks even better than on the pictures and offers a very, very comfortable stay for 2 families! The owner and cleaning staff were perfect and we can only recommend the place for those looking for a great tuscan vacation. The cooking lesson with Chef Alessandro has been one of the highlight of our stay and we hope that we'll be able to enjoy the pool and the tuscan sun, food and wines very soon!
