Our villa is comfortably furnished and well equipped with modern fittings providing a home from home in tranquil surroundings.
We are keen cooks and consequently the kitchen has all the basics and plenty of the extras which make it a pleasure to work in. It has a/c.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are well fitted with comfortable beds and quality towels and bedding. Three of the four bedrooms have a/c and overhead fans and the fourth has free standing fans.
The sitting room overlooks the dining terrace and has comfy sofas and a grand piano.
There is Wi-Fi, a Smart tv, DVD player and plenty books and dvds
However the summer months see us spending most of our time outside and the garden is perfectly designed for this. The plantings are mature and include a mix of palms, citrus and nut trees, succulents,shrubs and flowers. There are many shady spots to sit and different dining areas to enjoy. As well as the 13 x 7m pool and terrace there is a wood fired pizza oven, bbq and table tennis for you to enjoy.

The town of Orgiva is reached by a 20 minute walk on a quiet lane and has restaurants, bars, supermarkets and banks. There is a weekly outdoor market and a daily indoor one along with a host of small shops.
Orgiva is situated between the coast and the Sierra Nevada mountain range giving a great choice of activities, if you so wish. You can visit the Mediterranean beaches to the south and the cultural capital of Granada 50 mins to the north also visit the traditional villages of Las Alpujarras or walk-in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Closer to home there are fiestas and live music, horse riding and quad biking. Or perhaps none of the above - simply lounge by the pool book and glass in hand!

Summary: We had a wonderful time at Heather's property. What a glorious location - it felt so private and secluded yet was within easy reach of everything we needed. The house was simply gorgeous and the pool and view was beyond all expectations. What an absolute treat. Thank you so much for everything and we hope to return.

Summary: We’ve just returned from two weeks in this wonderful house, it’s more than a holiday rental, it feels like a home. The outside space is vast and simply stunning. A huge pool terrace looking out onto the Sierra Nevada mountains would be enough, but the garden extends way beyond this. The kitchen is superb, with everything you could possibly need. Worth noting that there is now air conditioning in the fourth bedroom. We really enjoyed exploring this part of Andalucía as well as lazy days around the pool. The walk to Órgiva is a pleasant 20 mins, where there are a couple of fun local tapas bars and a good pizzeria. 45 mins to the Alhambra and Granada, and 25 minutes to the beach, it was a perfect relaxing holiday. Heather provided lots of information and the house and pool were really well maintained. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Summary: Just want to say thank you to Heather for sharing the property on vrbo, and providing us with easily the most relaxed and zen Villa holiday we've had in a long time! We wouldn't hesitate recommending this place, or visiting it again in the future! My only cheeky negative would be it's sooo nice, you'll almost certainly end up (as we did) ditching many of your plans for exploring the area, just to enjoy the villa more! As noted in another review, the photos really don't give justice to the property, particularly the outdoor areas. Some things that spring to mind: - The views from the villa, both the nearby hills toward Sierra de Lujar, and on the other side Sierra Nevada, are totally captivating - The grounds are incredible and well maintained with so many areas to relax in: by the pool in the sun, shaded under some trees (almond?, olives etc), and a covered & decked area amongst others - The sauna is a great addition and got well used (sorry about the electricity bill! :D ) - The location itself is perfect. We normally stay in villas in the middle of nowhere, but it was nice to hear a little bit of life around us for once without it ever being a nuisance - The ping pong table, and piano are great additions to provide some activity - Well equipped and large kitchen - Air con in the bedrooms and kitchen is a god send on hotter days/evenings - Easy to find, easy access to Orgiva and surrounding area Fantastic, a perfect holiday!

Summary: We had an amazing time at this house. The photos don't do it justice - the outdoor space in particular is fantastic and there are so many different areas to spend time in. The location is excellent - we loved swimming in the river a five-minute walk away, and the centre of Orgiva is walkable if you don't have young kids. The area is remote and we loved that - we've been to Orgiva before so knew what to expect. Perfect for exploring the white villages and further afield by car, and we did a couple of daytrips to the beach at Maro. We loved spending time in the pool, which was a nice size for 8 of us, and although we did have to contact Paul the pool man a couple of times about it, he was quick to come and check it over and sort it for us. The house itself was clean and really well equipped - especially the kitchen - and we had everything we needed to cook and use the pizza oven. The aircon in three of the four bedrooms was an absolute godsend in a heatwave in August and we only wished there was aircon in the fourth bedroom, as we ended up having to put all the kids in one air-conditioned room as it was too hot in the other one. Probably not a problem during any other month! The views from the garden are really special, and the property isn't overlooked at all. We spent a very happy two weeks here and would love to come back. Heather was also a very responsive host, which really helped!

Summary: The villa is set in the most beautiful surroundings, the views gardens and relaxation spots are truly amazing. The pool was fabulous with stunning views of the mountains. Services and support of the property was excellent. Friendly supportive staff. All double bedrooms had air-conditioning as did the kitchen.

Summary: Well equipped and spacious house for extended family holiday. The pool is beautiful and set in a delightful garden with lots of private, shady seating areas. There's lots to see and do locally, and Granada and beaches both within easy reach.

Summary: We had a really wonderful week here, the house was perfect in every way. It felt like a real home, the kitchen was incredibly well equipped, the bookshelves full of interesting reads, with lots of comfy places to sit and relax. The outside space was incredible- huge pool area and many shady spots under the mature trees to sit and stay cool. Couldn’t recommend this house enough, we would absolutely love to go back.
