Positive: The loft was clean and well-stocked with kitchen equipment and utensils. The view was spectacular. The loft has a house fan which did an excellent job keeping the place cool in the summer. Between the window AC, the kitchen window, and the house fan, the temperature stayed pleasant and cool.

Negative: I was disappointed in the hot tub. The water was dirty, the jets would not shut off, and the water level was low. There were mineral deposits all over the bottom of the hot tub which turned the water brown when agitated. The water needed to be cleaned to remove the dirt. The hot tub was off when I checked in. I reset the power and the jets would not turn off. They would shoot more water (covering the patio) and then shut off, only to start again 3-5 minutes later. I texted the host and got no response regarding the hot tub. One of the reasons I picked this location was the hot tub, I was bummed to not have a well-working and clean hot tub to use during my stay. Side note: The stairs for this loft are no joke. This is a 100% non-accessible apartment.

Positive: The location was great. It was clean inside. Neat area, beautiful view. Convenient to get to town. The old McBride house was a pretty home and beautiful property. Beautiful back deck with a great view!

Negative: The deck/patio was what we were looking forward to using the most, that was by far the selling point for booking this place and we love relaxing in the outdoors, in general. Especially with the recent snow, we hoped to spend my husband’s 40th birthday soaking in the hot tub with champagne, looking at the beautiful snow-covered mountains, and sipping hot cocoa/coffee by the outdoor fire place while enjoying some relaxing time together. Well, the hot tub was so cold we couldn’t be in there for more than 5 minutes. Maybe the outdoor temps had been too cold the previous week, or the fact that it’s a 120-volt hot tub, but the water never got above 98 degrees and the temperature fell below 95 degrees within the first few minutes of being in the water. The morning we left the temperature in the hot tub finally read above 100 degrees. So we tried to start the propane fire ring to enjoy that instead but both propane tanks were completely out of fuel, so no fire, and it was too chilly to sit out there without a heat source. As a result we prepared our chicken dinner in the oven instead of on the grill, drank hot cocoa inside, and watched more TV than any human can stand to watch in a day. It’s a nice place but the inside isn’t what makes it nice. We almost left to come home a day early because it left us with virtually nothing to do that we had been looking forward to doing for my husband’s special weekend away. We had high hopes but the delivery fell short.
