Summary: My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in early June. The views were impeccable and the location was so perfect. It felt secluded and being in the hot tub under the midnight sun was so calming and relaxing. We went into Seward for food/activities most days and the drive was so scenic it was worth the 30 minutes. The hosts were amazing and even left us a breakfast dish in the fridge- so thoughtful and much appreciated! We hope to be back someday!!

Summary: Stayed here 3 nights in May. Good location to get to Seward or go towards Kenai. Had everything you need to be comfortable. Would stay again.

Summary: Our host Gary was on top of it and got us in earlier than we had hoped and even upgraded us to a nicer, roomier and cozy cabin. We stayed on for three nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The spa was wonderful on a cool frosty night or morning and was clean and well kept. WE definitely enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property to others who want a quiet scenic getaway cabin overlooking Trail River and the Kenai Mountains. Tom, Charlie and Katmai

Summary: This place has everything you need and the owner is very quick to respond. He was very helpful. The area itself in Moose Pass is situated between Seward and Coopers Landing has so many activities to do. Flightseeing, hiking, fishing, etc. You could not K for a better hide away than this gem in Moose Pass.
Nichole D. May 30, 2024 05:14:00 PM
Summary: Great experience all the way around
David W. Sep 29, 2023 11:00:41 AM
Summary: I wish I could live here for the whole summer. It was very clean. Huge bed. Hot tub was great. There is a small gas grill on one of the decks. I used it almost every day. There is another deck up the spiral staircase where there are more beds. The heat worked great although I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. But that is fine with me. You park your car in a car port so you can get in and out of the house without getting rained on (it rained a lot, but mostly just sprinkles). The tiny town of Moose Pass is a 2 minute drive. There is a cool restaurant and bar at the Lodge there. Great buffalo wings and cold beer. Friendly folks. There is a cash only convenience store across the street from there. And a fudge store down the street. They also do flightseeing tours on float planes on the lake next to the Lodge. Also kayaking. You can hear the planes when they fly... sometimes right over the house. And you can hear the train in the distance when it passes by. I liked both of these little experiences. Moose Pass is an excellent central spot to rent a house. It is near Seward. Near the Sterling Highway which takes you to Cooper Landing, the whole Kenai peninsula area along the river, Soldotna, the town of Kenai and eventually Homer. It is also near Whittier but I wasn't a huge fan of that town. I know there are some great boat tours out of Whittier so don't let my opinion keep you away. On my way back from Whittier I decided to visit the town of Hope. Love it.
