Welcome! Our beautiful cottage is just a short 10 minute walk to the center of Los Olivos. Drive through the gates of our private 5 acre ranch, past the corrals, up the tree lined drive and enter our renovated cottage. The cottage used to be a hunting cabin back in the 1960's and still retains all of it's charm.
Enter into the living area with thick log walls where you'll find hardwood floors and a gas fireplace that open onto a dining area with a huge bay window. There's a complete kitchen with dark granite counters and marble floors, and a laundry/pantry room with your own washer & dryer. Tucked near the stairs is a fully equipped, renovated bathroom with a big, tiled shower and large fluffy towels. Off the dining area, there's a cozy bedroom with a queen size bed and views of the garden. Wander up the staircase and you will discover the perfect master-suite. Light the fireplace and sink into the queen size bed with down comforter for a fabulous night's sleep. Just steps away is the bathroom complete with a Jacuzzi tub framed by Carrara marble.
The front deck has a porch swing and a wrought-iron table & chairs with a BBQ around the side. Across the yard is a picnic table under bistro lights if you prefer to dine al fresco.
For entertainment, the cottage has a 32 inch flatscreen TV in the living area with a Roku box that has Netflix and Amazon (no live tv/cable).
There's a dedicated Wifi network covering all of the house and grounds.
Cyclists are welcome! Los Olivos is a haven for cyclists. You can stash your bikes in our bike garage and if you need tools or air, we can help.
The cottage is a short 1/2 mile from the town of Los Olivos. It is situated up on a hill surrounded by huge mature trees, and an occasional inquisitive horse in the nearby pastures. You won't see any streetlights here. Close enough to pop into town but totally secluded for your privacy. SLEEPS 4 MAX.

Summary: This is our second time staying in this cozy cottage. I wouldn’t change a thing about it. I think it’s even cuter in person. Very clean. Well-equipped kitchen. Summary: Such a cute place to stay in LO! Cottage was well stocked and extremely clean. The yard and property was gorgeous and even though the owners are right up the hill, everyone feels a world away. We will definitely stay again.

Summary: I highly recommend this cottage for a wonderfully relaxing getaway from life's hustle and bustle. The host John is very nice and fun to talk to. We didn't see him until on our way out, but he is a great host. The cottage is immaculately clean and the kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are quite comfortable. The setting is picturesque; it's just so soothing to sit outside and soak in the beauty. And, most importantly, we didn't have to run through a long checklist of things that had to be done before checkout. Some places I wonder why we are paying cleaning fees. The last place we stayed in Cambria required us to clean the grill before we left. Not John. He is a fabulous host (with the canine assistance of Dexter) and the cottage is perfect. Oh, and definitely plan on visiting the village of Los Olivos. It is adorable.

Summary: We enjoyed staying at this home and property as much as we did during first visit 3 years ago. Once again, we were greeted with farm fresh eggs to enjoy at breakfast. Dexter the dog joined us for morning strolls. Gas fireplace added great ambience on chilly evenings/early mornings. There is a warmth to this house that one can only know by staying there. Would stay there again a heartbeat.

Summary: This property is absolutely magical and charming. A short walk into town yet feels miles away. Up on a small hill, you can enjoy the large, peaceful property swinging under a huge oak or lounging on the front porch. When you walk in you see a working fireplace, cozy yet roomy living space, and a sparkling clean farmhouse kitchen with everything you need. Also on the first floor is a bedroom, dining room, laundry room and lovely bathroom with a beautiful shower. Upstairs, is more charm with another bedroom - with a fireplace! - and a full bath. Hosts John and Karen really know how to make you feel welcome, comfortable and pampered. This place is the perfect restorative retreat! We will come again!
